LANCASTER, Pa.- The Franklin & Marshall men's swimming team concluded the 2026 Centennial Conference Swimming Championship with a fifth-place finish. The team's best result on Sunday came via
Patrick Rooney's sixth-place result in the 200 breaststroke.
Due to the anticipated winter weather, Sunday's session consisted of timed finals for all individual events.
Rooney was a sixth-place finisher in the 200 breaststroke following a sixth-place finish in the 100 breaststroke yesterday. He was followed by
Luke Healey in eighth place and
Noah Drexler in 11th.
Three Diplomats earned points in the 1650 freestyle, led by
Matthew Tilghman in 11th place.
Joe Clarkson claimed 14th, while
Edward Vonne was 16th.
Ben Lockey finished in 11th place in the 100 freestyle, while
Ethan Ferris and
Jared Gallegos were 14th and 15th, respectively in the 200 butterfly.
Nick Lowell earned points for the second time this weekend with a 15th-place showing in the 200 backstroke.
The Diplomats A Team in the 400 Freestyle Relay suffered a disqualification due to an early take-off, while Kamdin, Ferris, Tilghman, and
Brady Saunders were the fourth-best team in the B Final.
The Diplomats finished the 2026 Centennial Conference Championship in sixth place with 214 points. In individual events, the Diplomats were led by two A Final appearances apiece from Lockey and Rooney. Lockey had F&M's best individual result with a fourth-place showing in the 100 breaststroke.
