Box Score HAVERFORD, Pa. -- Haverford scored in both halves to knock off
Franklin & Marshall 2-0 in Centennial Conference (CC) men's
soccer on Saturday. The Diplomats (4-3-2, 1-1-2 CC) fired 11 shots,
but only one on goal. That shot saved by Jeremy Applegate, securing
the shutout.
Robinson collected a rebound off of Zack Zamek and delivered the
game winner late in the 30th minute. That score stood up until the
half. On the other side of the break, the Fords (5-1-2, 3-0-1 CC)
cashed in on a corner kick to make it the 2-0 final. Adam Morollo
headed it home from the far post off of a set up from Dan Garfing.
Zamek turned away four shots in the loss.
The Diplomats return to action on Wednesday when
F&M travels to Elizabethtown for the annual
Battle for the Boot.
