Box Score Westminster, Md. – Ben Beaver had a strong offensive game
to lead the Diplomats past the Green Terror 4-0 in Centennial
Conference (CC) action Saturday afternoon. Beaver's first
attack came in the 28th minute dribbling past three defenders and
shooting the ball past the goalie. F&M improved to 5-3-2 (2-1-2
CC) as McDaniel dropped to 5-7 (2-3 CC).
Beaver had a role in three of the four goals scored. After he
put the Diplomats on the board in the 28th minute, he maintained
his intensity and ball handling skills by moving the ball down the
field past multiple defenders getting another shot off. The ball
bounced off the goal post and was put into perfect field position
for Colin McMillian to get a shot into the net. Eric Elicker also
received a great pass from Beaver in the 55th minute putting the
Diplomats up 3-0. The fourth and final goal for F&M was sent to
the back of the cage by Giuseppe Bua in the 72nd minute.
The Diplomats outshot The Green Terror 13 to eight in the 4-0
shutout.Zack Zamek improved to 5-3-2 while Zach Nibbelink dropped
to 5-7.
Franklin & Marshall returns to the field the 13th against
Susquehanna. Game time is set for 6 PM.
