GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Gettysburg's
first-half defense set the pace for the game as the Bullets
garnered their second win, 71-43, over Franklin & Marshall this
season on Thursday night in a Centennial Conference (CC)
women's basketball match-up. The Bullets are riding a
seven-game winning streak and improved to 20-2, 14-2 CC, while the

Despite starting off with a 6-2 lead less than four minutes into
action, F&M didn't score a bucket for over four minutes
as Gettysburg went on a 6-0 run to take the lead. The Diplomats
fought back to bring the score within two half way through the
period, but suffered another scoring drought, going the next seven
minutes without a point.
Gettysburg used a solid defensive effort, forcing 13 Diplomat
turnovers. The Bullets also accumulated six steals and five blocks
in the first half. Courtney Fields scored 14 of her game-high 29
points for the Bullets in the first half, leading Gettysburg to a

throughout the entire second half. The Bullets held a 30-point
advantage with seven minutes remaining in the contest, and went up
by 33 soon after. Megan Pauley scored seven points in the final two
minutes of the contest to help F&M more than double its
first-half point total.
The Bullets out-rebounded F&M 48-36 to total 14
second-chance points. Both teams had their fair share of turnovers;
F&M totaling 20 and Gettysburg with 16.

earning a total of 17 points. Field scored all of the
Bullet's four three-point field goals. Julie McGrory also
chipped in 15 points for the orange and blue.

combining for over half of the team's points. Pauley tallied
a team-high 13 points, while Barbush added 11 points, three steals,
and five rebounds. F&M also received 16 points from the bench
on the night.
