LANCASTER, Pa. – Four members of the Franklin & Marshall women's basketball team were named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District® Team. This honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December. To be eligible for this honor a student-athlete most be at least a sophomore and have completed at least one full year at their current institution in addition to maintaining a 3.5 cumulative GPA while playing in at least half of the team's contests. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Kayla McCrea, Lizzie Neville, Steph Sexton, and Mackenzie Ward all represented F&M on the Academic All-District® Team. Neville was named to the all-district team for the third-consecutive year. McCrea and Ward were recognized for the second-straight season, while Sexton earned a spot on the CSC Academic All-District® team for the first time in her career.

McCrea was a key starter for the Diplomats during the 2025-26 campaign, averaging 29.1 minutes per contest. McCrea ended the season second on the team in points per game (8.4) and assists per game (1.8). McCrea also shot 35.2 percent from the field, 27.3 percent from beyond the arc, and 78.8 percent from the free throw line. The junior reached double-digit point totals in 10 games this year with a career-high 17 points coming in the win over Bryn Mawr in early-February.

Neville was named First Team All-Centennial Conference following a season where she averaged a team-high 15.5 points per game, 3.0 assists per game, 2.6 steals per game, and 33.3 minutes played per contest. Neville also finished fourth in the Centennial in free throw percentage, shooting 78.8 percent from the charity stripe. The Waverly, Pa. native scored double-figures in 19 games this season with a career-high 34 points coming in the win over Centenary in late-November. During the 2025-26 season, Neville became the 19th player in program history to score 1,000 career points and was the first to reach the mark during the Brianna Spector era. Neville leaves her name all throughout the program record book as she finishes her career ranked second in minutes played (3,226), fifth in steals per game (2.5), tied for sixth in assists (279), and 15th in points (1,159).

Sexton averaged 11.1 minutes per game, appearing in 24 contests during the 2025-26 season. Sexton shot 29.4 percent from the field, averaging 2.0 points per game. The forward posted a season-high nine points during F&M's season-opener against Lycoming. Sexton also matched her career-high in rebounds with five in the win over Lancaster Bible.

Ward appeared in all 25 games with 24 starts at guard, averaging 26.4 minutes per game this winter. Ward averaged 5.2 points per contest, shooting 31.3 percent from the field. The junior grabbed 4.4 rebounds per game, grabbing a career-high nine boards against McDaniel in late-January. Ward also recorded 21 steals this season, nabbing four against Washington College.
