LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's men captured their sixth-straight Centennial Conference (CC) championship and eighth overall with a wire-to-wire win. The Diplomats entered Sunday night's finals with a 65.5-point lead, but blew the barn doors off of the competition on Sunday with wins in five of six events for a 113-point victory at night's end.

For the third time in as many years, F&M's Tom Grabiak was named the meet's Outstanding Performer. He is the first male swimmer to accomplish that feat. On Sunday, Grabiak put up his third NCAA Automatic Qualifying time of the meet in winning the 200-yard breaststroke and helped the 400-yard free relay to gold. He posted NCAA Automatic Qualifying times in the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard individual medley earlier, winning Centennial gold in each. He also had a hand in four gold medal winning relays.

Grabiak has won his last 10 individual events in conference competition, and has won gold in every race he has participated in during conference competition over the past two seasons.   

Jake Reingold started the night with a gold medal and b-cut time in the 1,650-yard freestyle at 16:19.49. The Diplomats collected gold and bronze in the 200-yard backstroke, with Matt Jaffee winning in meet record and B-cut fashion at 1:52.43. David Fell took third in 1:55.95.

Tom Bergstrom took silver in the 100-yard freestyle, which was won by Matt Libby from Gettysburg. Libby's gold medal was the only one from men's competition to leave Lancaster at night's end.

Eliot Scymanski went first and third in the 200-yard butterfly. Scymanski set the gold standard at 1:56.29.

Bergstrom, Grabiak, Jaffee and Wilt put the exclamation point on the victory with a 3:08.26 for a gold in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
