MINNEAPOLIS – Franklin & Marshall senior Tom Grabiak
finished 17th in the 200-yard individual medley on the
first day of the 2010 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving
Championship.
Grabiak entered the meet with the fifth best seed-time of
1:51.97. He swam a 1:53.13 in the preliminaries to finish just
outside of the consolation final. Emory's Matt Spooner grabbed the
final spot in the race with a 1:53.07. The top preliminary time
belonged to Collin Gladys of Redlands at 1:50.38.
Grabiak returns to competition on Friday in the 100-yard
breaststroke. He takes the top seed time into the preliminary. Free
