MINNEAPOLIS – Franklin & Marshall senior, Tom Grabiak,
earned the fifth All-America certificate of his career with a sixth
place finish in the preliminary of the 100-yard breaststroke.
Grabiak, who entered the race with the top seed-time, swam a
56.04 this morning, touching .56 seconds after Kenyon's David
Lazarus, who swam the fastest qualifier in 55.48. The NCAA DIII
record is 54,27, set by last year's champions, Pavel Buyanov
from the College of Staten Island. Grabiak beat Buyanov to the wall
by .15 seconds this morning.
