Diplomats Wrap up Delaware Open

NEWARK, DEL. – The Franklin & Marshall women's track and field team competed at the Delaware Open at Newark on Saturday, collecting eight top-five finishes.

Henley Siegrist and Megan Hunter tied for fifth in the 400-meter dash in 1:00.27. Taking second place in the 800-meter run was Sheena Crawley with a time of 2:16.31.

The 4 x 400 relay team of Siegrist, Ariel Lefkovits, Crawley, and Hunter claimed top honors, crossing the line in 4:23.20. Mary Kate Shelley finished seventh in the 3,000-meter run in 11:37.21.

In field action, Martha Stefaniak won the shot put with a distance of 34-08.25. Stefaniak won the hammer throw with a distance of 101-10, and finished second in the discus, throwing 109-10.

Sylvia Zohrabian cleared a height of 8-11.75 for a fourth place pole vault finish. In the javelin, Arielle Van Wingerden took home first with a distance of 116-10.

The Diplomats host the F&M Open on Sunday, April 18.
