LANCASTER, Pa. – For the second time this season and the fifth time in her career, Lauren Dunnigan has been named the Centennial Conference Track Athlete of the Week. Dunnigan has now earned this honor four times during the indoor season and once while competing outdoors.
Competing at Cornell's Denault Invitational over the weekend, Dunnigan reset two of her own school records and ran the fourth-fastest 60-meter dash in Centennial history. Her school record times came in the 60 meter (7.67) and 200 meter (26.01) dashes. She is currently ranked 19th in the country and second in the CC this season for the 60 meter dash. Dunnigan capped her day with a 10th place finish in the 60 meter hurdles (9.10 seconds).
The reigning Centennial Conference Track Athlete of the Meet and her teammates will return to action this weekend as the Diplomats' host the Centennial Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships which begin on Saturday, February 28 and continue through Sunday, March 1.
