LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's women's track
and field team is set to compete at the Centennial Conference (CC)
Track and Field Championships this weekend at Swarthmore. Last
season the Diplomats finished in seventh place with a total of 50
points.
Leading the F&M sprinting crew are Megan Hunter and
Henley Siegrist. Siegrist holds the CC's third fastest time in the
200-meter dash with a time of 26.27 and the sixth best in the
400-meter dash with 1:00.27.
Hunter's time of 58.40 in the 400-meter dash places her on top
of the CC list. Caitlin Regan
holds the fourth best time with 59.80. The Diplomat's 4x400 relay
team holds the top time in the conference, after running a time of
3:57.67.
After posting an NCAA provisional time of 2:14.93 in the
800-meter run, Sheena Crawley
holds the conference's second fastest time with a time of 2:14.93.
Hunter sits third with 2:15.90.
Off the track, Sylvia Zohrabian sits fourth in the CC in the
pole vault after clearing a height of 9'-10". Martha
Stefaniak threw a distance of 123'-7" in the hammer throw for
the CC's best distance.
Stefaniak also holds the conference's second best distance in
the discus with 122'-9" and the sixth best throw in the shot put
with a distance of 35 feet.
With an NCAA provisional mark of 130'-8" in the javelin, Arielle
Van Wingerden sits atop of the conference list.
The CC Championships begin on Friday, April 30.
