Day Two Results
SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Following two days of the Centennial
Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Swarthmore,
Franklin & Marshall sits in seventh with a total of 11 points.
Johns Hopkins holds 89 points to sit in first.
Henley Siegrist advanced to the final round of the 100-meter
dash after placing seventh in the preliminary round with a time of
13.11 seconds. Sheena Crawley finished second in the prelims of the
800-meter run with a time of 2:21.43, just .26 seconds behind
Ursinus' Deb Yanessa.
In the preliminary round of the 400-meter, Megan Hunter won her
heat and came in third overall with a time of 58.18 seconds.
Hunter's time advanced her to the final heat.
Siegrist and Hunter finished fifth and seventh, respectively, in
the prelims of the 200-meter dash. Siegrist finished in 26.16
seconds followed by Hunter in 26.36, and both advanced to the
finals.
In the field, Kristen Marinaccio took home ninth in the long
jump with a distance of 15' 06". With a throw of 114' 07", Martha
Stefaniak finished third in the discus throw.
Katie Allison cleared a height of 9' 11.25 in the pole vault for
a fifth place finish. Sylvia Zohrabian tied for seventh with a
height of 9' 5.25".
The Diplomats continue conference championship action on Sunday
with final heats of the running events and the remainder of the
field events.
