LANCASTER, Pa.—Franklin & Marshall continued its winning streak in the F&M Scramble Saturday, as the squad ran through the tournament without dropping a set. The Diplomats (9-7) defeated Marywood and Frostburg State by identical 3-0 scores.  With the wins, the Diplomats have now won seven straight, and eight out of nine.

In the first match against Marywood, the Pacers (11-6) jumped out to a 12-8 lead, before the Diplomats went on a 16-1 run to take control of the set, en route to a 25-16 victory.  F&M took the final two sets by 25-19 and 25-20 scores.

Kerry Rom notched her fifth double-double of the season, recording 12 kills and 12 digs.  Sydney Seydel added another 10 kills, as F&M finished the match with 41.  Katy May tallied 15 digs to pace the defense.

The second match played out much the same way, as the Diplomats cruised to victory, with set scores of 25-11, 25-18, and 25-15.  Julie Harvey continued her recent run of strong performances, with 15 kills and a .500 hitting percentage.  May added 20 kills in another solid defensive outing, and Heather Letzkus contributed with five blocks.

In the other matches today, Ithaca defeated Frostburg State 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-20), and Marywood defeated Ithaca 3-1 (25-18, 25-27, 25-21, 25-17).

Franklin & Marshall will look to extend its winning streak to eight on Wednesday, when they head to Baltimore to take on Johns Hopkins in a Centennial Conference showdown.  The match begins at 7 p.m.
