CHESTERTOWN, Md. -- Franklin & Marshall took the top spot in nine events en route to a 130-69 Centennial Conference (CC) win over Washington College on Saturday. The win moves the Diplomats to 2-0 in the CC and 3-2 overall.
F&M finished first and second in the 400-yard medley relay. Caitlyn Fuller, Christina Werner, Maggie Johns and Katherine DeCrosta teamed to take first with a 4:16.41. Kasey Christiansen, Rebecca Citti, Stephanie Brooks and Jackie Behr finished second with 4:21.76.
Olivia Hill (11:07.22) and Garland Bartlett (11:16.25) went first and second in the 1,000 free while Katherine Grant (2:00.87), Krista Hollingsworth (2:01.19) and Rebecca Daen took the top three spots in the 200 free.
Grant (2:00.87), Hollingsworth (2:01.19) and Daen (2:04.60) placed in the top three in the 200 free, while Behr (25.83) and DeCrosta (26.06) placed first and second in the 500 free.
The Diplomats won the 200 IM with Johns touching in 2:21.17 and the 200 butterfly when Alexia Tomlinson swam a 2:25.95. Lauren Siegel (2:24.83) was third in the 200 IM and Heather Brown (2:31.94) second in the 200 fly.
Johns also won the 200 IM in 2:21.17 and Tomlinson the 200 fly in 2:25.95, while Lauren Siegel (2:24.83) finished third in the 200 IM and Brown (2:31.94) was second in the 200 fly.
Daen (55.58), Hollingsworth (2:17.69) and Hill (5:24.99) all placed first in the 100 free, 200 back and 500 free, respectively. Grant (57.15) finished third in the 100 free, Charlotte Katter (2:24.37) was third in 200 back and Fuller (5:38.74) took second in the 500 free.
The Diplomats return action on Dec. 3 to host the F&M Invitational.
