BALTIMORE, Md.—The Gettysburg volleyball team made a little bit of history on Friday, as the Bullets rallied from a 2-1 deficit to defeat Franklin & Marshall 3-2 in the semifinals of the Centennial Conference (CC) tournament at Johns Hopkins.  With the win, the Bullets become just the fourth team to rally from 2-1 down to win a CC Tournament match, joining F&M (1998, 2010 semis) and Swarthmore (2010 semis).

In the opening set, Brooke Wano served five straight points for the Bullets to take a 20-13 lead.  Following a timeout, the Diplomats scored 11 of the next 14 points to make the score 23-21.  That was as close as the Diplomats would get, as the Bullets scored the next two points for a 25-21 win.

The second set saw F&M jump out to an early lead, and hold it throughout the set.  Much like the Diplomats in the opening set, Gettysburg made a late run to draw within one before Caroline Hubbard set up Jessica Poucel to seal a 25-23 win for F&M.

The third set saw F&M rally from a 21-19 deficit, scoring six of the final eight points to win, 25-23 and go up 2-1.  The fourth set went back and forth before Gettysburg prevailed 25-23.  The Bullets then booked a spot in tomorrow's final with a 15-11 win in the deciding set.

Three players finished with double-digit kill totals, led by Julie Harvey with 16.  Reigning CC Player of the Week Sydney Seydel had 13 kills, and Candice Tussing tallied 11.  Defensively, Katy May led the way, totaling 16 digs on the evening.  Lis Power recorded 11 digs, and Caroline Hubbard finished with 10.  Hubbard also notched 49 assists.

The Diplomats end the season with an 18-11 record.  The team also bids farewell to a senior class that delivered the first CC title in ten years with a championship in 2010.
