LEXINGTON, Ky.- For the seventh-consecutive season, the Franklin & Marshall volleyball team earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award, which is given to collegiate and high schools teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale.

Franklin & Marshall was among 1,432 teams across men's and women's volleyball collegiately and at the high school level to achieve the award. 

"It comes as no surprise to see our sport have more than 1,400 teams earn the AVCA Team Academic Award again this season," said AVCA CEO Jaime Gordon. "We are grateful for the dedication of the coaches and players who make both classroom and on-court success the lifeblood of their programs." 

The Franklin & Marshall volleyball team looks to follow up on a 2025 season that produced a 23-7, 9-1 Centennial Conference record, a second-consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, and the program's first win in the tournament since 2000 when they defeated (RV) Williams in the first round. F&M will begin its quest for a third-straight NCAA Tournament berth and seventh Centennial Conference Tournament Championship when the season kicks off at Rowan on Tuesday, September 1, at 7:00 p.m.
