WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Franklin & Marshall competed at the Wake Forest Open Saturday. The event was a non team scoring contest and the field consisted of mainly Division I athletes. Five Diplomats placed in the top 20 in their respective events.
Katie Allison was highest place finisher for F&M taking ninth in the pole vault with 2.90m. Sylvia Zohrabian was 15th (2.70m) and Claire Marshall 17th (2.40m). Lauren Dever was 13th in the 3,000 steeplechase with a 13:49.52 and Caitlin Regan placed 19th in the 800 with a 2:19.36.
Two Diplomats ran well in the 200 meter with Henley Siegrist clocking a 26.37 and Zohrabian a 27.66 while Siegrist broke the minute mark in the 400 with a 59.89. Claire Marshall (1:11.86) and Samantha Greenberg (1:15.12) ran well in the 400 hurdles while the team of Greenberg, Marshall, Regan and Siegrist finished 21st in the 4x400 relay with a 4:06.44.
The Diplomats will compete at the Little Three meet Saturday at 11 a.m.
