SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- Franklin & Marshall claimed four gold medals at the Orange and Maroon Classic hosted by Susquehanna on Sunday. The Classic featured primarily Division III Teams and was a non-team scoring event.
Henley Siegrist, Kristen Marinaccio, Sylvia Zohrabian and Brea Smith made up the 4x200-meter relay team that placed first in the field of nine with a time of 1:54.28. Caitlin Regan finished at 1:01.11 in the 400-meter to claim gold and was followed by Ariel Lefkovits (1:05.29) in fourth and Markera Jones (1:05.56) in fifth.
Sheena Crawley crossed at 2:14.87, a school record, in the 800-meter, 19 seconds in front of the second-place finisher from Mansfield for the third gold of the day. Megan Hunter '10 previously held the record at 2:16.65. The 4x400-meter relay finished the gold rush for F&M, taking first in 4:11.90, 16 seconds faster than Susquehanna's team. The 4x400 was made up of Crawley, Caitlin Regan, Siegrist and Samantha Greenberg.
Martha Stefaniak threw 37'-9.5" for second in the shot put while Livia Meneghin took sixth with a 33"-1.25". F&M saw two runners place in the top-five in 60-meter dash. Lefkovits took fourth out of 20 with an 8.71 and Jones placed fifth in 8.73. Brea Smith and Regan took home third and fourth in 200-meter dash for the Diplomats. Smith crossed at 27.83 while Regan finished at 28.07.
F&M returns to action on Saturday when the Diplomats travel to Delaware.
