NEWARK, DE. – The team of Caitlin Regan, Katie Allison, Kimberly Hilfrank, and Bridget Grogan raced to a second-place finish in the 4x800 meters to help pace the Franklin & Marshall women's track & field team at the Thomson Invitational at Delaware University on Saturday. The Diplomats placed 15th as a team with 25 points in a field that featured teams from all three divisions.
Regan, Allison, Hilfrank, and Grogan finished in 10:42.22 to earn the top stop of the day for F&M. Regan also took third-place in the 800 meter with a time of 2.23.97. Alexandra Hawkins competed in the 60 meter dash placing 13th with a mark of 8.60. In addition, Hawkins took seventh in the high jump with a jump of 4'09".
Sylvia Zohrabian secured a seventh-place finish in the pole vault with a vault of 8'10.25", Kirsten Marinaccio placed seventh in the long jump (15'.75"), and Livia Meneghin took eighth in the shot put throwing 34'2.25".
The Diplomats Sheena Crawley competed on Saturday at the Penn State National Invitational. Crawley competed in a field of all DI runners placing 14th in the one mile run invitational with a time of 4:53.76. The time is the second fastest nationally in division III and a new Centennial Conference and school record.
The Diplomats will return to action Friday when F&M competes at Susquehanna at 10 am.
