BOSTON, Mass. - No. 16 Franklin & Marshall upended No. 15 Hamilton 5-4 in the consolation bracket of the College Squash Association (CSA) Kurtz Cup (B Division) Team Championships on Sunday. The Diplomats conclude the year at 11-10 with the victory, while the Continentals fall to 10-10.

F&M also brought home the Chaffee Award, given to the team that shows the most sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

Five of Sunday's matches went at least four games, with three stretching the distance to five games. The Diplomats came away with wins in four of those five tight matches, which proved to be the difference in the outcome.

Morgan Smith posted the only straight-game win for F&M at the No. 1 position with an 11-3, 12-10, 11-8 triumph over Amanda Thorman.

Roxanna Mead and Katherine Perry each tallied four-game wins at No. 2 and No. 5, respectively. Mead downed Claire Corroon, 11-8, 11-4, 7-11, 11-8, while Perry defeated Kelsey Bogle 11-7, 11-9, 8-11, 14-12.

The Diplomats also captured two five-gamers on the day as Erin Golueke (No. 4) and Elizabeth Gatling (No. 7) went the distance in their respective matches. Golueke took down Hannah Coffin, 12-10, 6-11, 11-7, 6-11, 11-9, and Gatling edged Katherine Rogers with scores of 11-6, 11-7, 10-12, 10-12, 11-6.

F&M returns to action for the CSA Individual Championships on Friday.
