SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- Franklin & Marshall took first in five events and set two school records at the Crusader Classic hosted by Susquehanna on Friday. The meet featured teams from multiple divisions and was a non-team scoring event.
Sheena Crawley reset her own school mark in the 3000-meter with a 10:22.20. Her previously record, set earlier this year, was 10:34.61.
Samantha Walmer broke the school mark in the 60-meter hurdles. Walmer's 10.35 was .48 faster than Laura Hansen's '10 time of 10.83 set back in 2008.
Brea Smith, Markera Jones, Alexandra Hawkins and Kristen Marinaccio made up the 4x200 relay team that finished first in the field of six with a time of 1:52.12. Henley Siegrist and Caitlin Regan took the top two times in 200-meter. Siegrist crossed at 27.24 while Regan came in 27.40. Ariel Lefkovits finished the 200 at 28.51 and Hawkins turned in 28.85. Regan ran a 1:00.75 in the 400-meter for first place in the field of 10 participants.
Martha Stefaniak and Livia Meneghin took second and third out of 14 in the shot put. Stefaniak threw 38'-8. 75" and Meneghin turned in a 35"-1.75". Catherine Westerduin placed second in the triple jump (33"-7.5") while Sylvia Zohrabian claimed gold in the pole vault with a height of 9"-6.25".
F&M returns to action next Saturday. Some members of the team will travel to Bucknell while others will compete at Albright.
