Crawley Breaks Own School Record, Again

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Just two weeks removed from breaking her own school record in the 1500 meters, Sheena Crawley broke her own school mark for the second time this spring, this time in the 800 meters, to lead a limited number of athletes representing the Franklin & Marshall women's track & field team at the Paul Kaiser Classic hosted by Shippensburg on Saturday. There was no team scoring in the event.

Crawley raced past the competition with a blistering time of 2:10.41, besting the second-place finisher, Shippensburg's Lindsay Bingaman, by over three seconds. Crawley previously broke the record in the 800 in 2010 with a time of 2:11.39. This marks the third record the junior has surpassed this spring, having already set new records in the 1500 and 5000.

Caitlin Regan also secured an impressive finish in the 800, taking fifth with a time of 2:17.25.

Margaret Capp placed 11th in the 5000 meters at 20:23.48.

The Diplomats are back in action on Friday for the opening day of the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships at Ursinus.
