Crawley Wins 800; Four Represent F&M at TCNJ

EWING, N.J. - Sheena Crawley won the 800 meters to lead a group of four Franklin & Marshall women's track & field athletes who competed at the TCNJ Last Chance Meet on Thursday in an attempt to make one last bid for a spot in the NCAA Championships next week.

Crawley crossed the finish line in 2:10.41 to take top honors, equaling her season best time in the event. The junior boasts NCAA provisional qualifying times in the 800, 1500 and 5000, including top-10 times in the 800 and 1500, and will compete at next week's NCAA's.

Caitlin Regan lowered her time in the 400 meters by .36 seconds, but her mark of 58.52 was not enough to boost her into an NCAA provisional qualifying time. The senior finished fourth in the event.

Martha Stefaniak and Arielle Van Wingerden competed for the Diplomats in the discus and javelin throws, respectively. Stefaniak turned in a second-place finish in the discus at 127'-06", while Van Wingerden recorded a toss of 117'-05" to nab fourth in the javelin.

Crawley will return to action at the NCAA Championships in Claremont, Calif. next Friday.
