COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall completed day one of the Centennial Conference (CC) Women's Track & Field Championships in seventh place on Friday after just two events have been scored. The Diplomats tallied one point to sit in seventh in the 10-team field.
Johns Hopkins is currently in first with 27.5 points, followed in the top three by Dickinson (19) and Muhlenberg (12).
The pole vault and 10,000 meter run were the lone events that were completed on Friday, while four of the seven heptathlon events also took place.
Sylvia Zohrabian notched the lone point of the day for F&M in the pole vault, taking eighth with a vault of 8'-11.75" to put the Diplomats on the board.
Samantha Greenberg delivered two top-three finishes in the four heptathlon events, nabbing second in the 200 meters at 27.52 seconds and third in the 100 meters with a mark of 17.24. She also placed eighth in the high jump (4'-07.00") and 10th in the shot put (23'-01.25").
The CC Championships resume tomorrow morning with conclusion of the heptathlon at 9:30 am.
