NEW HAVEN, Conn. - No. 14 Franklin & Marshall dropped a 9-0 decision to No. 10 Williams in the consolation bracket of the CSA Team Championships Kurtz Cup (B Division) on Saturday at Yale. The Diplomats fall to 10-11 with the loss, while the Ephs improve to 16-11.
At the No. 2 position, Roxanna Mead put up a strong fight against Laura Henry but fell in four games, 11-4, 11-9, 8-11, 11-9.
Williams captured each of the other eight spots in straight games to wrap up the shutout victory. At No. 5, Katherine Perry nearly tallied a win in game one, but fell 12-10, while No. 6 Cris Margaret Frias came close to notching a game one victory as well, before falling 11-9.
The Diplomats will conclude their season tomorrow against No. 16 Amherst at 8:30 a.m.
