Swisher Wins Pole Vault

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Rebecca Swisher won the pole vault to lead the Franklin & Marshall women's track & field team on day one of the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships hosted by Ursinus. The Diplomats posted a total of 12 points on the opening day and currently sit in second place.

Swisher matched her school record mark of 11'-07.75" in the pole vault to claim top honors in the event. The freshman cruised past the rest of the field, defeating the next-closest competitor by nearly a foot to earn 10 points for the Diplomats.

Sylvia Zohrabian took seventh in the pole vault at 9'-02.25" to add two points to the F&M total.

Samantha Greenberg sits in fifth in the heptathlon after four events with 2044 points. She won the 200-meter dash at 27.83, and took fourth in the 100-meter hurdles at 17.85.

Day two of the CC Championships will open up tomorrow morning at 8:45.
