Marinaccio, Swisher Set New School Marks

YORK, Pa. - Kristen Marinaccio and Rebecca Swisher each broke school records to headline the Franklin & Marshall women's track & field team's performance at the York Twilight Meet Thursday night. There was no team scoring in the event. 

Marinaccio claimed seocnd in the long jump with a school-record mark of 5.35 meters, besting a school record that lasted for nearly 30 years. Marinaccio's jump narrowly broke Barbara Wert's '85 mark that she set in 1984. 

Swisher took second in the pole vault with a record vault of 3.56 meters, surpassing the previous mark that she has re-set multiple times in the 2013 outdoor season. 

Livia Meneghin also performed well at the meet, tallying a personal-best in the shot put of 12.44 meters, falling just shy of the school record. 

Arielle Van Wingerden competed in the javelin, posting a second-place finish with a mark of 37.91 meters. 

The Diplomats are back in action on Monday at Widener.
