KUTZTOWN, Pa. -- Morgan Gray and Rebecca Swisher both claimed gold to pace Franklin & Marshall at the Kutztown Golden Bear Invitational hosted Kutztown University Friday evening. The invitational was a non-team scoring event and featured teams from Division II and III.
Gray took first in the triple jump at 34'-6.75" while Swisher took the top spot out of 13 participants in the pole vault with a height of 11'-3.75". F&M continued its top performance in the field with Maya Jackson placing third at 37'-11.50" and Livia Meneghin tossing for 35'-6.0" to place seventh out of 25 throwers in the shot put.
Olivia Bendit and Samantha Greenberg both had a good performance in the 400-meter dash. Bendit crossed in 1:05.84 (5th) while Greenberg took seventh at 1:07.37. Mallory Reed ran 11:40.39 for a seventh place showing in the 3000 with Kimberly Hilfrank coming in eighth (11:48.47) and Julia Zielinski taking 10th at 11:53.
F&M returns to action next Friday when the Diplomats host the Coach I Invitational.
