F&M Looks to Bounce Back Against McDaniel

Game 6: McDaniel (1-4, 0-4 CC) at Franklin & Marshall (2-3, 1-3 CC).

Series History: Franklin & Marshall will do battle with McDaniel for the 47th time in a series that dates back to 1904. F&M has dominated the past decade, winning all 10 contests since 2003. The 10 consecutive wins is the longest Diplomats' winning streak in the series. F&M reeled off six-straight from 1984 to 1989 while McDaniel took the seven-straight meetings between 1997 and 2003.

The Last Meeting: E.J. Schneider accounted for 323 yards and all four scores to lead Franklin & Marshall to a 28-9 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) football action on Oct. 19, 2013. F&M's offensive line of Ryan Ignatovig, Chad Tothero, Matthew Pisarcik, Sam Dickinson and Frank Seitz played a major role in Schneider's production, giving up zero sacks and paving the way for a season-high 255 rushing yards.  

Schneider racked up 151 yards on 13 rushes with an 11.6 average and two scores. He added 172 more through the air, completing 15-for-24 passes and two more touchdowns. 

LaValva finished with 61 yards on the ground and Brendan Daly added 25 on three rushes. Jordan Zackery had a game-high 91 yards on eight catches and a score and Paul Koehler hauled in three passes for 39 yards. 

Brendan Wengerter continued his dominance on defense with a game-high 14 stops (9s). Wengerter added a sack to move into the conference lead in both sacks and tackles. Ryan Young had an impressive 13 tackles (7s) and Brian Velasco ended with nine stops. Aaron Fant insured the top spot in the CC in interceptions with a pick on the afternoon and had five tackles for the Diplomats.  

CC Rankings: Taalib Gerald ranks 12th in the conference with 283 yards this season and eighth in scoring TDs with four, while Zach Bradley currently sits in the top spot in pass efficiency at 150.6. Paul McGann and Jordan Zackery both have 31 receptions and lead the conference. 

Defensively, Ryan Young's 41 stops places him ninth and A.J. Koikoi sits in second with five sacks and fourth with six tackles for a loss.
