SELLINGSGROVE, Pa. -- Samantha Walmer and Rebecca Swisher both took gold to lead Franklin & Marshall at the Susquehanna Invitational hosted by Susquehanna University on Friday evening.
Swisher finished with a height of 11'-5.25 for first in the pole vault and Walmer ran 9.92 for first in the 60-meter hurdles. Samantha Greenberg finished behind Walmer in second place at 10.02.
Morgan Gray claimed silver with a jump of 34'-10.50" in the triple jump and Olivia Bendit ran 1:04.14 in the 400 for the second fastest time.
Victoria Ngo (1:08.85), Kimberly Hilfrank (1:08.97) and Mallory Reed (1:09.15) all had a good showing in the 400 as well. Bendit went on to take third in the 200 at 27.41 and Greenberg finished in the top half at 28.45.
The Diplomats took two of the top five spots in the shot put with Maya Jackson capturing second with a throw of 40'-4.0" and Livia Meneghin finishing fourth at 38'-.75". Hilfrank, Ngo, Reed and Rachael Weiss made up the 4x800 relay team that took first at 10:18.35.
F&M returns to action next Saturday at the Cornell Open.
