ITHACA, N.Y. – Rebecca Swisher captured a second-place finish in the pole vault with a distance of 11'-9.75 at the Marc Deneault Invitational hosted by Cornell University on Saturday.
Maya Jackson also turned in a school-record performance in the shot put with a toss of 40'-10.25, which was good for a sixth-place showing in the event. Livia Meneghin followed in 12th with a throw of 37'-2.25.
In the 300-meter dash, Olivia Bendit missed out on a school record by a second when she crossed the line in ninth with a time of 45.28. Morgan Gray also earned a top 10 finish for the Diplomats, recording a distance of 34'7.75 in the triple jump.
Kimberly Hilfrank completed the 1000-meter run with a time of 3:15.65, which was the 14th fastest finish, while teammate Caroline Muir was close behind at 3:35.80.
Caroline Dorey-Stein completed the 800-meter run at 2:44.17, followed by Brielle Stander at 2:47.05 and Samantha Greenberg at 2:49.23.
F&M returns to action on March 1, at the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships.
