PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Emily Caldwell won a pair of matchups to reach the first round consolation finals in the Holleran Division (Women's B Draw) at the CSA Individual Championships before falling in the championship match on Sunday.
Caldwell took down Hilary Gray of Hamilton in the quarterfinals with a 3-0 sweep (11-9, 11-8, 11-6) before reaching the bracket's final round with a five-game marathon victory over Wesleyan's Mary Foster at 10-12, 6-11, 11-9, 11-4, 11-5.
In the finals, Caldwell found herself in an early 1-0 hole after dropping the opening game at 11-7 but managed to tie up the contest with an 11-8 win in the second. However, Brown's Sarah Domenick captured the final two games (11-4, 11-9) to win the contest.
