Series History: The #7 ranked Franklin & Marshall squad will battle Swarthmore for the 29th time this Saturday as the Diplomats have won 13 straight matchups against the Garnet, including a 14-9 victory last season.
Senior goalie Kelsey Hoffman was named Centennial Conference (CC) Defensive Player of the Week.
Hoffman made 21 saves in a 2-1 week for the Diplomats. She had a .450 goals against average against Conference opponents and her one loss came to #4 The College of New Jersey in overtime.
F&M Last Week: F&M went 2-1 last week, defeating Bryn Mawr 19-0 on April 2, followed by a narrow 14-13 loss to #4 TCNJ in overtime on April 4, and a 15-9 win at McDaniel on April 5.
Claire Jackson led the way for the Diplomats against Bryn Mawr, scoring three goals and adding one assist while Taylor Freud, Siobhan Burke, Brittney Jorgenson, and Grace Saliba all finished with a pair of goals.
The Lions of TCNJ tallied two goals in the final 43 seconds of overtime to defeat F&M 14-13.
The Diplomats appeared to have the game in hand when Ali Kelly buried a Caroline Krohn feed to break a 12-12 tie and put F&M up 13-12. The goal came with just 58 seconds left in the overtime period. Lauren Pigott then found the back of the net 15 seconds later to tie the game at 13-13 before Kendal Borup scored 24 seconds later for the game winner.
Krohn had a team-high four goals and two assists and became just the 14th player in F&M history to reach the 200-point plateau with 204 points.
Jorgenson and Gabby Frank combined for seven goals to lead F&M to a 15-9 victory over McDaniel.
Tied at 6-6 at the start of the second half, the Green Terror quickly went up two, 8-6, with two goals in the first three minutes, but the Diplomats responded with seven unanswered goals to take the lead for good.
Jorgenson finished with a team-high four goals while Frank notched three. Kelsey Hoffman picked up the win with eight saves and improved to 8-3.

Brittney Jorgenson tallied four goals and Caroline Krohn scored once and handed our four assists, while Emily Everdell, Maggie Mae Shields, and Mary Mitchell each found the net twice.
Samantha Blicht caused two turnovers and collected two groundballs and Anastasia Mergner came away with five draws.
F&M outshot the Garnet 40-22, had 25 groundballs to Swarthmore's 18 and went a perfect 18-for-18 on clears.
