LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall women's lacrosse team added one final accolade to its decorated 2025 season as the team claimed its place on the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III Academic Honor Squad. Additionally, six Diplomats were recognized on the IWLCA's Academic Honor Roll.
To receive IWLCA Academic Squad recognition, teams must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2 among all of its players. A total of 376 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA were honored as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2024-25 academic year. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must have completed their junior or senior seasons and have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. Six Diplomats received this award for their strong performance in the classroom.
Franklin & Marshall on IWLCA Academic Honor Roll
The Diplomats successful year in the classroom adds to another strong season on the field for the program which saw F&M capture its third consecutive Centennial Conference Championship after being ranked in the top five nationally throughout the entire regular season. The Diplomats once again advanced to the NCAA Tournament via the conference's automatic bid and hosted the first two weekends of the NCAA Tournament which included a win over Messiah as the team advanced to the Sweet 16.
