Diplomats Compete at Widener Invitational

CHESTER, Pa. – Samantha Walmer, Rebecca Swisher and Maya Jackson each had top performances to lead the Franklin & Marshall women's track & field team on Saturday at the Widener Invitational.

Walmer's time of 16.29 earned her a first-place spot in the 100 meter hurdles and Samantha Greenberg earned a fourth-place finish at 17.43.

In the pole vault, Swisher continued her stellar season with a first-place vault of 11'-02.50". Maya Jackson placed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 40'-07.50" and Jackson also turned in a third-place showing in the javelin throw with a distance of 120'07".

On Friday, Mallory Reed finished 11th in the 5000-meter run with a time of 18:49.43.

F&M is back in action next Saturday when the Diplomats compete in the Shippensburg Paul Keiser Classic.
