Swisher Sets F&M Pole Vault Record; Wins Gold

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Rebecca Swisher reset her F&M pole vault record and won the event for the second consecutive year to lead the Franklin & Marshall women's track and field team on day one of the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships hosted by Swarthmore. The Diplomats posted a total of 10 points on the opening day and currently sit in third place.

Swisher's vault of 12'-02.50" reset her old record of 12'-01.50" that was recorded at the Delaware Open on April 12. The sophomore cruised past the rest of the field to earn all 10 points for F&M as no other competitor was within two feet of Swisher's distance.

Mallory Reed posted a 40:40.96 time in the 10,000-meter run which was good for 13th.

Day two of the CC Championships will begin tomorrow morning at 8:45 a.m. Live results of the championships can be found by clicking here
