Series History: Saturday's matchup will be the first between F&M and Catholic.
F&M's Road: The Diplomats enter the tournament with a 15-5 mark and received an at-large bid after dropping a 9-5 decision to No. 6 Gettysburg in the Centennial Conference (CC) Championship game last Sunday.
Catholic's Road: Catholic finished the regular season with a 12-5 record and received the Landmark Conference's automatic bid by defeating Susquehanna 20-9 in the championship game.
Cap, Gown and Lax: Five seniors on the F&M lacrosse will experience two major accomplishments on Saturday; graduating from college and playing in an NCAA Tournament contest; in that order of course. Seniors Mary Mitchell, Caroline Krohn, Christie Bonfiglio, Kelsey Hoffman, and Ali Kelly will take part in F&M's Commencement on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. before preparing for Saturday's 4:00 p.m. contest against Catholic.
F&M in the Tourney: The Diplomats are making their 16th NCAA appearance, eighth in the last nine years, with a 21-12 record. F&M has made it to the final weekend four times and won two National Championships (2007, 2009). You can view F&M's complete postseason history by clicking here.
Catholic in the Tourney: The Cardinals appear in the tournament for the sixth time, all coming under the guidance of eighth-year head coach Meghan McDonogh.
