KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Rebecca Swisher took first in the pole to lead Franklin & Marshall at the Kutztown Collegiate Invitational Friday evening. The invite was a non-team scoring event and featured teams from division II and III.
Swisher turned in a height of 12'-3.50" for first place in the field of 11 participants and reset her own school mark, 11'-9.75", set last year.
Maya Jackson and Livia Meneghin took fourth and fifth place respectively in the shot put with throws of 38'-2.25" and 38'-1.25" while three Diplomats placed in the top-10 in the mile. Kimberly Hilfrank grabbed fourth in 5:44.69, Grace Adams crossed in 5:47.73 for sixth and Mallory Reed turned in a 6:00:13 for eighth.
Adams and Hilfrank took second and third with times of 1:27.38 and 1:33.56 in the 500 and Aleksandra Kiszka finished in the top half of the 400 with a 12th place finish with a time of 1:06.35. In the 800 Caroline Muir finished ninth out of 19 runners in 2:45.25 for the Diplomats while Alyssa Ward jumped 16'-8.75" in the long jump and Morgan Gray took fifth at 33'-10.00" in the triple jump.
F&M returns to action next Saturday when the Diplomats travel to Lebanon Valley.
