ANVILLE, Pa. – Alyssa Ward reset the school record in the long jump to pace Franklin & Marshall at the Dutchmen Invitational hosted by Lebanon Valley Saturday afternoon. The invite was a non-team scoring event and featured primarily Division III schools.
Ward placed second in the long jump at 17'-0.75" and broke Kristen Marinaccio '13 school mark of 16'-8.5". She also took gold in the high jump at 4'-11.75 and Rebecca Swisher also claimed gold in the pole vault with a height of 11'-6.25"
Livia Meneghin and Maya Jackson finished second and third in the shot put for the Diplomats. Meneghin had a throw of 38'-9" while Jackson finished with 36'-9.50". Anne Henry (30'-11.25") and Morgan Gray (30'-8.50") took sixth and seventh in the triple jump.
F&M returns to action on Feb. 7th at the East Stroudsburg Invitational.
