Swisher Takes Fourth at NCAA Championship; Earns All-America Honors

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Rebecca Swisher (Lititz, Pa./Lancaster Catholic) tied for fourth in the pole vault at the 2015 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday morning, earning All-America honors as a top-eight finisher,

Swisher, who entered the event as the sixth-seed, easily cleared her first two heights of 3.40 and 3.55 before hitting 3.8 which tied her for fourth at 12'-1.5" with Elizabeth Composto from North Central.

The All-America honor is the second for Swisher in her career and marks the first for F&M in a field event in indoor competition. Last year she earned All-America honors with an eighth-place finish with a height of 12'-1.5" at the outdoor championships.

Swisher's honors is the sixth straight All-America awards earned by a member of the women's track & field team and her fourth place finish is the highest for a field event in F&M history.

Cimran Virdi from MIT took the top spot at 13'-1.5" with Marissa Kalsey from Westminster placing second at the same height.
