WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall competed at the West Chester Open on Friday in women track and field action. The day featured several non-scoring events.
Rebecca Swisher had a first-place showing in the pole vault with a height of 11'-3.75", while Alyssa Ward was second in the high jump (5'-2.25") and the long jump (16'-3.75"). Ward added another second-place spot in the 100-hurdles with a time of 16.75.
In the 1500-meter run, Grace Adams finished second at 4:59.64, while Samantha Walmer placed second in the 400-hurdles with a time of 1:12.86.
Livia Meneghin's distance of 36'-9.5" in the shot put was good for fifth and she added a fourth-place showing in the discus at 106'-7".
The Diplomats return to action next weekend at the Centennial Conference (CC) Outdoor Championships, hosted by Muhlenberg.
