Ward Wins Two Medals at Day Two of CC Championships

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Freshman Alyssa Ward won two medals to guide the Franklin & Marshall women's track & field team at day two of the 2015 Centennial Conference (CC) Championships on Saturday. The Diplomats sit in seventh place out of 10 schools, while Dickinson is leading the pack with 62 points, followed by Johns Hopkins (47) and Haverford (40).

Ward grabbed a silver medal in the high jump at 5'-02.50" and qualified for an ECAC bid, while the freshman took bronze in the long jump with a distance of 17'02.00".

In the 100-hurdles trials, Ward added a sixth-place spot at 16.18 and advanced to tomorrow's final. Samantha Walmer also advanced to a final race tomorrow, as she finished sixth in the 400-hurdles at 1:09.34.
