Diplomats Wrap Up Action at CC Championships

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall placed seventh and earned 36 points at the 2015 Centennial Conference (CC) Women's Track & Field Outdoor Championships hosted by Muhlenberg. Johns Hopkins took the title with 157 points, followed by Dickinson with 129 and Haverford at 114. 

The 4x800 relay team of Olivia Bendit, Grace Adams, Caroline Muir, and Kimberly Hilfrank finished seventh with a time of 10:01.63, good for an ECAC qualifying time. Each runner bested their previous time individually, and Bendit, who raced first, split a 2:30 in just her second-ever 800 race.

In the shot put, Livia Meneghin placed fifth with a distance of 38'-11.00", while Alyssa Ward took sixth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.90.

The Diplomats have several more chances to compete for an NCAA spot, which take place May 21-23 in Canton, N.Y. Some F&M competitors with compete at the Last Chance Meet at Swarthmore on Monday, May 11th, while others will participate at the Georgian Court Last Chance Meet in Lakewood, N.J. this Friday and the ECAC Championships May 14-15 in Springfield, Mass.
