F&M Competes at Kane Invite

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Franklin & Marshall competed at Robert J. Kane Invitational hosted by Cornell Saturday afternoon. The invite had teams across multiple divisions and was a non-team scoring event. 

Rebecca Swisher turned in her second-best performance of the indoor season with a second-place finish in the pole vault. Swisher had a height of 12'-1.5" in the event that had 11 vaulters. Alyssa Ward was ninth in the long jump at 16'-8" and Aleksandra Kiszka took seventh in the 400-meters with a time of 1:04.63.

Evan Friend had an outstanding finish in the 200-meters. Friend finished in fourth with a top-20 national time of 22.58. He was the highest division III finisher in the race that featured 24 participants. Logan Lewis took third out of 20 throwers in the shot put with a season-best 50'-2.5" throw.

Bryce Williams finished fifth in the 3k with a time of 9:05.46 and Spencer Lyman was eighth at 9:26.80. Michael Hoffman was the fastest DIII runner in the 60-meter hurdles at 8.53, which placed him fifth.

F&M returns to action next Saturday when the Diplomats travel to the East Stroudsburg Invite.
