Women's Squash Concludes Play at CSA's

STAMFORD, Conn. – Three members of the Franklin & Marshall women's squash team wrapped up competition on Saturday at day two of the CSA Individual Championships.

Taking part in the Holleran C bracket, No. 35 Fiona Murphy began play with an impressive 3-1 upset (11-8, 10-12, 11-5, 13-11) of Drexel's Ryan Morgan (No. 30) to reach the semifinals. However, her run in the tournament came to a close against No. 19 Tanvi Khanna of Columbia, who swept Murphy by a 3-0 tally (11-6, 13-11, 11-7) to reach the finals. 

Ranked No. 33, Sherilyn Yang took her first game but fell in the next three as Stanford's Tara Shannon (No. 32) pulled away by a 3-1 score (8-11, 11-1, 11-8, 11-9) in the quarterfinals of the Holleran A Draw.

Competing in the Holleran D Draw consolation bracket, Emily Caldwell (68) blanked Amherst's Kim Krayacich (No. 61) by scores of 11-1, 20-18 and 11.4. Caldwell's tournament came to a close in the consolation semifinals with a tough 3-2 defeat (8-11, 11-4, 11-7, 11-5) from Williams' Hayley parsons (No. 52).
