LANCASTER, Pa. – With nine returners being welcomed back into the fold, the Franklin & Marshall women's basketball team is looking to continue a streak of three straight seasons with an improved record. With a high-energy team, Coach Kirsten Richter '03 sees the 2017-18 Diplomats competing for one of the five Centennial Conference (CC) playoff bids.

2017-18 Diplomats
F&M returns a lineup teeming with experience after losing just two seniors in Sarah Haddon '17 and Shannon O'Connor '17. The nine returners are joined by four newcomers who look to match the energy presented by the upperclassmen.

Key Returners
F – Erica Brown, Sr.
G – Haley Pilone, Jr.
G – Sarah Pisani, Jr.
C – Kristin Hamill, So.
Brown returns for her senior year and looks to continue to be a major presence in the paint after averaging 9.7 points a game while also pulling down 5.8 rebounds per game and totaling 14 blocks last season.
Pilone is back for her junior campaign with her 10.2 points per game average, which was good for second on the team in 2016-17. The guard looks to once again play a major role in the Diplomats' backcourt after coming away with 27 steals on the year.
Pisani's 4.4 assists per game were good for fourth in the conference last season as the junior looks to continue pushing the offense after totaling 106 assists and 29 steals.
Hamill looks to make her presence known after a strong freshman campaign that saw her post 126 points, 110 rebounds, and 10 blocks.
Looking Ahead
After the Terry Greene Tip-Off Classic on Saturday and Sunday, the Diplomats get an early start on CC play by hosting Gettysburg on Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 6:00 p.m.
The Diplomats continue CC play on the road through the end of November and the beginning of December. F&M finishes the calendar year down in Roanoke, Va. for a set of competitive non-conference matchups against host Roanoke and Lynchburg.
Conference play kicks back up in January and February, highlighted by a 1:00 p.m. matchup with Washington College on Senior Day. The regular season comes to a close a month later when F&M travels to Swarthmore on Feb. 17.
The first round of the Centennial Conference Tournament is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 21, with the semifinals and final scheduled for Feb. 23-24.
A continued feature to this year's schedule is the "Add to Calendar" button, which allows fans to sync new events and updates directly in their Google, Exchange, Yahoo, Outlook, ICal and additional calendars.

Centennial Conference Digital Network (CCDN)
The Centennial Conference announced a partnership with Stretch Internet to become the conference's digital network provider and establish a central location for all CC athletic events. Broadcasts that are present in the Stretch portal are exclusively produced by each of the 11-member institutions of the conference.
In addition to its Roku channel, the Conference will have three new over-the-top (OTT) applications to make broadcasts available – Apple TV, Amazon Fire and Android TV. Home broadcasts that are produced by all 11 members will be available on CentennialConference.TV and the OTT apps.
