LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall rallied from a two-match deficit but ultimately fell short in a 5-4 heartbreaker against No. 19 Williams on Friday evening in Lancaster.

The No. 17 Diplomats dropped to 7-3 on the year while the Ephs improved to 7-5.

By the Numbers 

Trailing by a 4-2 team score, Shams Abbas earned a 3-1 win at No. 1 and Aryan Parekh followed with a 3-1 victory of his own at No. 5 to even the score. However, in the decisive No. 3 contest, F&M came up short in a five-game defeat. 

Four of the top five spots in the ladder went the Diplomats way, while Williams swept the No. 6-9 positions.
