LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's No. 20 ranked women's squash team faced a daunting pair of opponents on Saturday in Lancaster, falling to No. 11 Virginia and No. 12 Cornell by identical 9-0 scores.

The Diplomats saw their overall record fall to 5-6 on the season.

F&M battled throughout as each of the top two spots in the order were pushed past three games. Emily Knapp staved off a sweep at No. 2 with a hard-fought 13-11 win in the third but eventually fell by a 3-1 tally.

Eight of the nine contests were decided by three games. Emily Bartos won the Diplomats' lone frame, an 11-4 victory in her opening game, before coming up short in each of the next three.
