CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Franklin & Marshall's women's squash team rolled to a 9-0 shutout of Richmond on Friday before falling to Virginia on Saturday by a 9-0 tally in a season-opening tournament in Virginia. 

The Diplomats sit a 1-1 on the year after the pair of decisions.

Each of F&M's nine spots on the ladder won in three-game sweeps. First-year Zoe Quayle (No. 6) and sophomore Mimi Fairbanks (No. 9) highlighted the dominance by each only dropping one point on the night. Audrey Berling (No. 1) and Quayle earned their first-career wins with their commanding victories.

F&M fought hard against No. 11 Virginia but was unable to capture any matchups from the Cavaliers in their home tournament. Emily Knapp won a frame at the No. 2 spot with a tough 13-11 victory in her third game.
