NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Late-match heroics delivered Franklin & Marshall's No. 18 women's squash team a thrilling 5-4 win over No. 19 Tufts in the Semifinals of the Walker Cup (C Division) at the College Squash Association (CSA) Team Championships on Saturday.
The win propelled the Diplomats (13-9) into Sunday's Championship match against No. 17 Amherst, scheduled for an 8:45 a.m. start on Yale's campus. Fans can follow along tomorrow with live results here.
F&M is aiming for its first Walker Cup title since 2011 when the Diplomats downed Hamilton by a 5-4 tally in the finals.

By the Numbers
F&M looked to be in command early, taking a 3-1 lead in the team score. Tufts stormed back to win the next three contests and pull ahead by one. The Diplomats tied the match at 4-4 and Zoe Quayle came through in the clutch with a nail-biting 3-2 triumph at No. 7 to hand F&M the victory.
Quayle overcame an 11-4 loss on the first frame and cemented the contest with an 11-6 win in the fifth. F&M turned in gutsy performances throughout the ladder as the Diplomats won four matchups that went to five games.
Emily Knapp faced a particularly daunting challenge at No. 2, battling back from being down 2-0 to record wins in the final three frames.
